Which one is better Shopify or WooCommerce?

tonymartin Nov 1, 2018Hello everyone, I am a little bit confused about Shopify and WooCommerce. Actually, I am creating an online store which is based in the US. I found these two platforms which is good.
I have posted this in different groups and most of the people suggest me to choose WooCommerce.
Can I use WooCommerce? Is it easy to setup? This post has been last edited at 2019-11-26 10:22:12 -
It really depends on your experience settings up websites. Shopify is more easy to setup.
Do you have experience in setting up a WordPress site? If so, this should not be a problem.

multiscraper Nov 27, 2018hello All!
very strange comparison, Shopify is the e-commerce "for dummies", it has to be compared with BigCommerce, 3d-cart etc
WooCommerce is ecommerce CMS (Content Management system), you must have minimum knowledge of how to deploy the wordpress on the host, set up the website, install additional modules for it, some knowledge of SEO, design templates management, some other skills...
In this context WooCommerce has to be compared with OpenCart, PrestaShop, CS-Cart, Magento, VirtueMart, Zen-Cart etc

jtibbles Dec 12, 2018If your shop is anything other than very basic, with simple solutions for shipping, and your server is fairly solid then Woocommerce is fine to use. The problem comes when you need to modify it. There are plenty of additional Woocommerce plugins available but I find that this either over-complicates things, slows down the system and/or never does exactly what I'm after.
My recommendation is to go for OpenCart instead. It's a bit of a learning curve to begin with but the entire core is made specifically for e-commerce, rather than a plugin that sits on top of a blog-based website. Plus their support is so much better than Woocommerce, who tend to ignore most emails unless you have signed up to their support package.

jamesmes Dec 4, 2019Hi guys
Sorry for being a little late here. Choosing the best platform for your ecommerce business always be a tough decision. It depends on a lot of factors: budget, capability, goals,... But I'll say Magento is the best right now. Magento is a robust tool entrepreneur. With over 5,000 add-on extensions (free and paid), Magento certainly has the advantage with regard to capabilities.
Is it making a quick store to deal with 100 products? Shopify may best suit your requirements. If you’re looking to develop an online store with infinite potential for features, scalability, and customization, Magento best choice. This post has been last edited at 2019-12-04 10:07:56 -
