maczad 6 months agoThis is for authors selling on codester, since there are no API to determine who purchased author's scripts, can we implement our own license system so when a user purchases our script, they can send an email and we can forward their license code to them? In the item they will download, there will be a txt or pdf file to let them know they can send an email to the author to get their purchase code.
I read as far back as 2018 and it is sad this hasn't implemented till now so can the authors atleast do this for themselves to protect their work? Will an item be rejected if it has it own license checking information?

Yes, it can be rejected. We don't support external license systems.
Items have to work directly out of box and can't contain encrypted code.
We understand the thought of your item being distributed illegally is very scary. It's understandable to focus on this. The truth it that people who pay for an item generally don't share it with others. We only had a handful of cases where this happened from the hundred-thousands of sales. This post has been last edited at 2024-07-02 09:42:12 -
