What features would sellers like to see?

Maybe you could install automatic checking of item descriptions. Sometimes I see MANY LINES ONLY IN CAPITALS, or escaped \", or a demo link leads to a "not found" page, or the whole description is one huge block of text. Or there are very obvious typos (the editor could mark mistakes or alert authors - probably not easy to check text in graphics). When I buy stuff on the internet, then trust is an important factor and a professional appearance is really key. You could also employ external proofreaders and pay them with Codester credits. There hardly seems to be any English native speaker among the sellers.

I second that. There needs to be more spellchecking done. Some of the item descriptions are so horrible I wonder if the authors will ever get sales. This also brings down quality of the entire marketplace.

Perhaps allow for other authors to correct descriptions on a volunteer basis?

Good point on the item descriptions.
A lot of sellers don't take much time to write good descriptions and contain a lot of mistakes.
We already correct the titles and only allow changes on request to protect sellers. Same for images.

I am sorry to say, but sometimes it simply amazes me how much time goes into the developing an item and what little effort goes into the presentation.

We will see how we can pick this up and some extra moderation on descriptions.

This isn't really a new feature of sorts, however whenever you click on your author icon, the drop down appears to be too long. Could possibly make it to where it scrolls?
