What features would sellers like to see?

this is a feature that maybe you could add that would be cool is when you begin the upload process it saves where you are in the form so if you switch off your computer and lose your current upload stuff you can just log in and click "Continue where i left off.." and all the data will be there for you to continue uploading

can we add featured products on our own profile?

for example we can set 3 featured products and then below that we have the usual all our items, i just think it will help authors display their best scripts at the top of their profile then everything else below

As long as we don't have an API, it would be good to have some kind of workaround:

On the item page there could be a new tab "Verify Customer" (only visible to the seller of that item), there you enter an email address and can then see if that email was used to purchase that item, which type of license and when it was done (and if the purchase is still valid, no refund etc.). So we can check at least manually if for example a support request comes from a real customer (and not someone who received the software differently). Better would be of course to see the list of all buyers of that item.

At the moment it is a bit like an unfulfillable task: We have to provide free support to all buyers, but we have no information who actually are they.

I'd like to see activity from other users in terms of being able to see somebody's daily, weekly, monthly sales, support activity. So basically if I view any profile I can see what interactivity there is on a users item. For me this would show me that the overall website is attracting customers.

Without that sort of feature, for me at the moment, Codester looks to be very inactive in terms of items being uploaded. The forum section seems to be extremely quiet with little or no input from the community.

Having X amount of view on our items is useless if theres no interaction, I'm not talking about sales but even having people requesting upgrades to existing products, discussions about how to improve products, it all seems very quiet to me.

Are there any plans to increase interactivity? I hope so because this site has loads of potential.

Sales stats are not going to be added, but we are trying to to improve interactivity among buyers and sellers.

It's not so much a luxury but it shows activity between users and items, which is essentially what Codester is about. If people like myself (currently only one item uploaded) cant see any sort of activity its hard to be motivated to build applications and upload them here on Codester. I'm not so much requesting sales as the option to display activity between buyer and seller but there needs to be something to motivate others to contribute.

I'm just giving feedback on my situation, a new member with my first item uploaded, its just hard for me to see if its worth my while building and uploading more applications.

Hopefully you guys can come up with something to boost activity between buyers and sellers that will motivate others to want to contribute.

I don't think that many sellers would like to show their detailed sales and support activity to everyone. The "Achievements" badges already give some insights about these activities.

In order to boost activity, I think that it would be good if Codester could be listed on those blogs and magazines where they list the "5 best places where to buy software/plugins" or like that.

I agree with not displaying detailed information on specific sales. Maybe something like "UserA has sold 8 items this week" just something that signifies activity. Something as small as that will motivate others.

Richie I actually like that idea about UserA has sold X items this week but I also feel Codester should have a top authors section every week

Yea top authors would be a nice idea too.
