What features would sellers like to see?
-
Celso Mar 5, 2018Author teams/colaborations with revenue split

CMonica Mar 5, 2018i would love the tag section to be modified. some of the tags are getting capitalized, at some just the first letter while at others the whole word
-
Richie Mar 5, 2018That just be a simple fix. 2 php functions on the tag output variable.
strtolower( ucwords( $tags ) );
That would capitalise all first letters of each tag. -
CMonica Mar 5, 2018the problem is that i wouldn't want any of the letters capitalized, i would love them to be displayed the way they are written when you submit an item
-
Richie Mar 5, 2018Oh ok. From a developer point of view if it was me I'd lowercase all tags on output, just to keep it consistent.
-
ChewiScripts Mar 5, 2018Same here Richie
-
Indeed Richie, from a developers point of view lowercase would be the most consistent.

ChewiScripts Mar 23, 2018Add a country badge and a badge for the amount of years you have been part of the Codester community?

chattymango Mar 31, 2018Currently Codester is for developers and designers - both buying and selling. I think it would make sense to add an additional focus on simple site admins who are able to install a script or a plugin but who are neither developing nor designing anything. These people often have their own budget for building a website and they could help increase sales.
That new focus would not only be a matter of reformulating the "about" page, but also regarding promotion and how to organize the content on Codester. For example, there could be separate newsletter channels - one more technical and one for people who just install and use items. It would mean that the groups of potential buyers and sellers are not identical. Many buyers just come to buy and never think about uploading anything. Of course, that would mean more work for Codester, but you could for example also consider that sellers write guest posts (in return for promoting their stuff).
