Storyspot is a cms based story (article) system which can be used to make money. The system is a "win win situation" for authors (site users) and owner (admin) of the system. Admin can place ads on the quality content produced by authors and thus sharing the revenue from ads with authors in form of rewards. There is an integrated point system which will generate points for the authors of stories and making them eligible for rewards. Rewards can be created as anything like a gadget, coupon or even money. There is also a feature for paid stories integrated with payment gateways (paypal and stripe) with which both admin as well as authors can earn money directly.

The system is built on codeigniter with a complete and easy to use admin panel for reviewing, controlling the content and features on the site. With the minimum set of installation requirements, it can be set up on any apache or nginx hosting (shared or vps). The front end is built on a nice and responsive template with features to customize menus, sidebars, logos, colors and much more.

Installation

Setting it up is very easy with the built in three step "Installation Wizard". Simply put the content from the zip on your hosting folder e.g. (https://storyspot.example.com or https://www.example.com/storyspot) and open the corresponding url from the browser. The wizard will then guide you through the process.

Codebase

The system is built on codeigniter with the maximum possible "loose coupling". Means there is a separate controller and model (for every module) in the system. The backend and front end can be easily separated. The approach to built this is in accordance with the guidelines provided by https://codeigniter.com/ and customisations to extend it further can be done easily.
