  Just try to put "live" admob ID. It should work! Be sure to have enable internet connection. And also do not test it on emulator.

  I am sorry I don't know if I am understand you correctly. If you insert your ADMOB ID export apk install it and then click on ads that appear and then you will see in ADMOB console if you have any clicks on admob banner. But you should know that this take 1 day to see in console.
