2 weeks agoNeelWonder PurchasedHello Everyone!
To use the project in any php version, you simply need to substitute in composer.json the following:
From:
"jeroennoten/laravel-adminlte": "^3.8",
To:
"jeroennoten/laravel-adminlte": "3.11",
After modifying the above in composer and saving or uploading to the project directory, you need to be inside the lapp and run the following:
composer update
Then it will update all the remaining packages to the latest php 8.3 version compatible.
What will the above do:
1.
I have removed the sign before 3.8.
By doing so, this package adminlte will not be updated to the latest by defdault.
2.
I have increased the version of the adminlte to maximum and fixed it to adminlte 3.11.
3.
In or after the adminlte version 3.12, the following was introduced:
Improve menu filters (stage 1) by @dfsmania in #1266
https://github.com/jeroennoten/Laravel-AdminLTE/releases
Thus, by using the version 3.12 in this project, it will throw an error as the menu filters were mmodified. But this project has not been modified to the new version of menu filters.
4.
By using the adminlte 3.11, you can now use this project in any version of php, including the latest php 8.3.

2 weeks agoNeelWonder PurchasedHi adeimsef!
Yes, I did this and it works like charm. With my trick, you do not need to use the old and buggy php 7.3+ or 8.0+. It will work because I have fixed the composer version by removing the "^" in the begining.
If you have this sign "^" it will not work because composer will update to the latest. But the later version on or above 3.12 will cause a crash.
You can duplicate the composer.json and add my patch. Thereafter, you can run "composer update" from the lapp dir.
Inside the composer, you can keep on increasing the version, which is 3.8 now to all the versions above it and are available on Github one by one. Then you will definately see the same result as I did. It will work until 3.11. After 3.12 the php error will be shown about the menu filters.
Composer configuration, as mentioned above, is relatively safe to use. If you do not like it, you can downgrade it from 3.11 to 3.8 as well. Then everything will be reset.
Like this, it is backward compatible.
So go ahead and apply my patch and enjoy!
